(Atlantic) Atlantic High School announced an innovative approach to its upcoming Parent-Teacher conferences, scheduled for February 14th and 15th. The new format Embraces the theme “Trojan CommUNITY: Explore Our OpportUNITIES,” transforming the traditional format into a vibrant showcase of the school community and the myriad opportunities available to its students.
In a first-of-its-kind event for our community, Atlantic High School will open its doors for discussions about student progress and to exhibit the talents, projects, and unique opportunities the school offers. Every department will present something unique, from the fascinating world of aviation projects to the creative expressions in the art classes.
Event Highlights Include:
- Interactive Showcases: Engage with educators and students in interactive displays, spotlighting the dynamic learning environment at Atlantic High School.
- Community Engagement: Experience a soup supper hosted by educators, with free-will donations to support AHS’s Lullaby Fund (a fund that helps with the unique needs of our students–clothing needs, SWITA passes, gas cards, etc.). Educators will graciously serve the community during this event while supplies last.
- Cultural Advocacy: Explore various booths showcasing after-school programs and community resources.
Atlantic High School Principal Heather McKay said, “Atlantic High School is committed to fostering strong partnerships with families and the community. This event is a testament to our dedication to educating our students and uniting our community through shared experiences and goals. The event is more than a conference; it celebrates our students, educators, and the strong community bonds that make our school a special place. We warmly invite all parents, guardians, students, and community members of Atlantic to join us in this unique and engaging experience. Together, let’s celebrate the achievements of our students and explore the opportunities that lie ahead.”
