(Jasper, Iowa) An Iowa man is accused of kidnapping a woman and driving at high speeds while she was dangling out of the vehicle.
Court documents say earlier this week, Leroy Vanhoff showed up at the home of a woman who has an active protective order against him, grabbed the woman, and put her in his SUV.
Nevada police say surveillance video shows a vehicle going well over the speed limit in a residential area with the woman’s legs dangling out of the rear driver-side door. She eventually fell out on a gravel road. Police say later that evening, Vanhoff assaulted a man who also has a no-contact order against him.
They say the victim held down Vanhoff until law enforcement arrived.
