Splashpad Committee Member Ali Pieken said, “We are simply blown away by the donations that came in within 48-hours following Tuesday’s City Council meeting. I am proud beyond belief to be part of such an incredible community. We received almost $37,000 in 48 hours. This project would not have been possible without the generosity of every donor. Thank you, Atlantic. We cannot wait to Splash with all of you in it!”
To date, $450,000 has been raised for the Splash Pad Project.
The committee is still accepting donations. You can Venmo @shiftatl with “Splash Pad” in the comments. Checks are payable to Shift ATL or the City of Atlantic. Checks can be dropped off at the Chamber or given to a committee member.
The Splash Pad will be approximately 4,000 to 5,000 sq. ft. and showcase a variety of water features, shade structures and seating. The Splash Pad will be located on the west side of the Sunnyside Swimming Pool and it will be free for all to enjoy.
The total project cost is estimated around $600,000.
