(Council Bluffs) Two people were arrested on warrants for Child Endangerment in Council Bluffs.
The Council Bluffs Police Department says on Friday, officers observed two wanted suspects enter an apartment and attempted to call them out. The two suspects, 31-year-old Vaughn White and 26-year-old Brittany Desantiago, would not respond to commands. Due to Vaughn White’s past history and experiences with law enforcement, police negotiators were called to the scene. Council Bluffs Emergency Service Team was also called to the scene. After approximately two hours, negotiators were able to convince Vaughn White to exit the apartment and was placed under arrest. Brittany Desantiago complied with officer’s commands and exited the apartment and was placed under arrest for her warrants. Two other subjects were detained for a brief time and were released.
Vaughn White was wanted for four counts of child endangerment, two counts of no contact order violation and he was charged with Interference with Official Acts. Brittany Desantiago was wanted for four counts of child endangerment.
