(Monona Co) One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Monona County Friday afternoon.
The Iowa State Patrol says 31-year-old Elizabeth Meadows, of Ute, was driving a 2015 Chevy Impala southbound on Highway 183 and failed to yield at the stop sign prior to entering the intersection with Highway 37. 21-year-old Jacob Boock, of Cushing, was driving a 2015 Peterbilt Semi eastbound on Highway 37and attempted to brake as he saw Meadows enter the intersection, but struck the Impala. Both vehicles entered the ditch.
Elizabeth Meadows was transported to Burgess Medical Center by Monona County EMS.
The accident remains under investigation.
