(Corydon) A male teenager is arrested for allegedly making violent threats against two school districts in Iowa. Osage and Wayne Community both went into lockdown yesterday after learning about the shooting threats. The 14-year-old former student at Osage reportedly made the threats on Snapchat. Charges are pending for the juvenile boy.
Osage Community School District is a rural public school headquartered in Osage, Iowa. The district includes a section of Mitchell and Floyd counties, and in addition to Osage, it includes Mitchell and Orchard.
The Wayne Community School District is a rural public school district headquartered in Corydon, Iowa, and operates the Wayne Elementary and the Wayne Junior/Senior High School.
The district is mainly in Wayne County, with small sections in Decatur and Lucas counties in its service area, including Corydon, Allerton, Clio, Lineville, and Millerton.
