(Atlantic) Rescue crews were called to a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 near the 48.5-mile marker.
According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at 7:38 a.m. on Saturday. It was initially reported that a tractor-trailer had collided with unknown injuries. The collision caused several other vehicles to slide into the ditch and collide. More than ten vehicles, including a bus from Iowa Western Community College, were believed to be involved, noting mostly minor injuries.
The responding agencies included The Iowa State Patrol, Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office, and other area first responders.
