(Ames, IA) – While adding three players last week, the Cyclones have announced a fourth with transfer wide receiver Isaiah Alston. He formally spent four seasons playing for Army West Point with two years of eligibility.
The former Army West Point receiver played in 27 games with 49 receptions, totaling 1,031 yards and six total touchdowns. Throughout his career, he averaged 21 yards per reception. He marked the first Army wide receiver since the 2007 season to have 130+ receiving yards and two touchdowns in a single game. In a game versus Wake Forests last season, he had seven receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown to add on.
In 2021 and 2022, he finished with 38 receptions for 718 yards and four touchdowns, which was impressive, to say the least with an Army pass-heavy offense. Alston will be a crucial part of the Cyclones in the coming months and throughout the season.
Iowa State has now added on Alston among three others including, Dylan Barrett (Wisconsin), Carter Davis (Florida Atlantic), and Jaylon Jackson (Eastern Michigan).
