(Griswold) Due to the trio of winter storms, school closings are starting to mount, and many schools are turning to virtual learning instead of the normal in-person classrooms. Griswold Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs says last year, the Iowa Legislature passed a law allowing schools to utilize up to 30 hours of virtual instruction, which roughly means five days of classroom work.
Henrichs says the virtual classes work differently at the elementary level than for high school students.
Schools Superintendent Dave Henrichs says Griswold has missed six school days due to the winter weather.
