(Atlantic) Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, Republican Presidential Candidate’s “Never Back Down Tour,” braved the brutal weather conditions and stopped at the Whitney in downtown Atlantic on Saturday afternoon. Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds was alongside DeSantis and others voicing their support.
Two months ago, Governor Reynolds endorsed DeSantis ahead of her state’s first-in-the-nation caucuses. Governor Reynolds spoke with KSOM/KS95 News on Saturday on why she believes Ron DeSantis is the best person for the job.
Governor Reynolds reflected on how the two Governors stepped out of the box and navigated their path throughout the days of COVID.
Reynolds says DeSantis’s values and policies align well with Iowans. They are back parents, law enforcement, and tax cuts.
Governor Reynolds is also impressed with DeSantis’ ability to carry out his promises.
Ron DeSantis has served as Florida’s 46th Governor since 2019. Before that, he served in the House of Representatives for Florida’s 6th Congressional District. He is a Yale and Harvard Law School graduate and a Navy veteran.
