(Des Moines) There is no rest for Iowa Department of Transportation snowplow crews as a second round of severe winter weather runs across the state in a week. The man in charge of winter operations says a common thread was running between all the vehicles that went off the road in Tuesday’s storm.
Iowa D-O-T Winter Operations Administrator Craig Bargfrede. Bitter cold in the forecast through the weekend will force the Iowa Department of Transportation to change tactics in dealing with snow and ice after this latest winter storm.
Hundreds of Iowa Department of Transportation snowplows are working roads and highways across the state during this second winter storm of the week.
