Greg was born May 9th, 1950, in Atlantic, IA to Ralph and Virginia (Nelson) Crozier. He graduated from Adair Casey High School in 1968 and moved to Council Bluffs, IA where he attended Iowa Western Community College obtaining his Associate Degree in Diesel Mechanics. After graduation Greg worked at NELCO in Council Bluffs, where he met Raymona Bradley and were united in marriage on September 16th, 1972, and moved to Neola, IA, and then worked as a hired hand for Jack Roane (Feedlot Services) While living in Neola, he was a volunteer fireman. Soon after they began their family with Brian, Jaime, and Brenda. They then moved to the Persia area where they settled down and continued adding on to their family with Jeremy, Bradley, Jennifer, Beth & Jared with the growing family they ran the Country Corner store in Persia, IA, and sold used tractor parts. Greg spent many hours and miles going to auctions in Missouri, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and surrounding states. He found a love for buying and selling machinery and continued their collection at home. Along with auctions Greg hauled scrap metal earning his nickname “Scrap Iron”. He was known for buying any and everything at auctions.
Greg’s greatest passion was having visitors at the house, anyone was welcome, time on the deck with the kids and grandkids eating popsicles (he liked the red and purple ones) listening to Jeremy auctioneer on the road, he kept close tabs on everyone creeping Snapchat locations all the way down to the grandkids. He was a worrier and always wanted to know when any of the kids made it home. He loved his classic country music on Willies Roadhouse, RFD TV, and Gunsmoke. He was a proud Republican and Trump supporter. He enjoyed going to the county fair to watch the grandkids show and Iowa State Fair every year to watch LeRoy VanDyke. His pride and joy were his family and was proud of all of their successes.
