Peggy Lou Pierson, the daughter of Eugene and Geneva (Bates) McConnell, died January 5, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Dick on April 30, 2003; her daughter Kim; and her parents.
Peggy is survived by her son Kent Pierson and wife Lisa of Oakland, IA; her granddaughters, Camryn and Allyee Pierson, both of Oakland, IA; her brothers, Wes McConnell and wife Betty of Canton, SD, and Stan McConnell and wife Audrey of Indianola, IA; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at the Oakland United Methodist Church in Oakland. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM, at the Oakland United Methodist Church. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements.
