(Corning) Adams County Auditor Rebecca Bissell will serve as the Iowa State Association of County Auditors this year.
Bissell began her time with ISACA District #4, serving as district president for three years before moving to the ISACA Board. While on the board, she has served as the secretary, treasurer, and Vice-President. She took over the reins in August of 2023.
ISACA membership consists of county auditors and their staff from all 99 Iowa counties. The membership meets three times annually, and six districts within the state regularly meet. The organization focuses on the critical areas of budgets, audits, elections, real estate valuations, and taxes.
ISACA’s goals are to maintain a permanent organization to promote cooperation among Iowa counties, which in turn helps to identify common problems and assist in developing solutions to promote standardization of practices to increase efficiency and reduce costs in offices across the state.
