(Guthrie Center) The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met Wednesday Morning.
The Board discussed various topics including awarding bids for county property. In regards to the Transfer Station Pasture, the board awarded a bid from Kelly Capaske for $140 an acre. They also opened and awarded a bid for the County Farm, to Jake and Paige Anderson for $54,848.88.
The Board also heard from County Engineer Josh Sebern. Sebern presented the Funding Agreement between Guthrie County and Iowa DOT for the Bridge Repair Project BHOS-CO39(99) – 5N-39. Sebern said, “Because it is federal funds, the Iowa DOT is the administrator and we contract with them that we will abide by all regulations.” This agreement was motioned and passed.
State Street Insurance Owner Becky Benton presented on the county’s ICAP, or Iowa Communities Assurance Pool, renewal. The board did vote to approve this renewal.
The board’s next meeting is Tuesday, January 2nd at 9:00 am.
