(Audubon) The Audubon County Board of Supervisors discussed a request from the Audubon County Conservation Board for an additional $337,000 to finish the cabin project at Little Field Park.
Audubon County Board of Supervisor Chairman Doug Sorensen says the project has more than doubled since they began discussing it two and a half years ago.
Sorensen says a budget amendment must be scheduled to allocate more money to the project. He says the funds would come from the wind turbine fund pulled forward. He says the account has around $5 million targeted for upcoming projects.
The project includes six single-family structures, about 14×46 feet, sleeping six people. The seventh will be a larger, lofted cabin with an occupancy of 12 to 14 people.
