(Atlantic) The Atlantic Police Department and Police Reserves continue to gear up for their annual Christmas programs. Applications for the Atlantic Police Reserves’ Family Dreams Christmas program are due Wednesday, December 6, at 4:00 p.m. The Reserves will take the families shopping downtown on December 16.
Atlantic Police Chief Devin Hogue says applications can be picked up at the Police Station and returned. Or go to the Atlantic Police Department’s Facebook page, scroll down, and click on the link.
The Atlantic Police Reserves will contact the chosen families.
Chief Hogue says “Shop with the Cop” will be held on December 17.
The Atlantic Police Officers and Reserves, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, DNR, Chaplains, and State Patrol all pitch in and take 30-40 children shopping at Wal-Mart.
The two programs served 73 children, 20 adults, and 27 families in 2022 and 650 children, 200 adults, and 250 families in the past ten years.
Donations can be taken year-round, and checks can be dropped off at the Atlantic Police Office.
