(Creston) Creston Police arrested a man who crashed his vehicle into a light pole and a trash can.
According to the report, Police arrested 24-year-old Larry Dean Fernandez of Creston for OWI following the incident early Thursday morning.
Fernandez admitted to driving a 2013 Ford Explorer that struck a power pole beside the building in the True Value parking lot. He drove off and was followed to the 1200 block on North Spruce Street, parked in front of a driveway, and struck a trash can. When officers arrived, Fernandez admitted to having been drinking and being the only occupant. Police conducted an OWI investigation and arrested him.
The Officer tracked a red fluid that matched the fluid from the power pole to where the Explorer was parked.
The damage to the Explorer is estimated at $5,000.00. The damage to the power pole was estimated at $2,500.00.
