(Washington D.C.) On Tuesday, Iowa Republican Senator Joni Ernst condemned the rise in antisemitism across the U.S. since the October 7th attacks on Israel.
Senator Ernst recently attended a stand-with-Israel rally on the National Mall.
She pointed out the clear contrast between horrific examples of antisemitism on college campuses.
Senator Ernst demanded that any university or administrator that gives a free pass to terrorist sympathizers lose taxpayer funding.
Senator Ernst says anyone standing up and celebrating Hamas is on the wrong side of history. Her message to these Universities, Colleges, and K-12 Schools assisting and enabling anti-sematic hate speech should not receive federal funding.
Senator Ernst led her colleagues in demanding the Department of Education uphold its legal obligations to ensure Jewish and Israeli students are not subjected to discrimination. She also sponsored Senator Tim Scott’s Stop Antisemitism on College Campuses Act to cut federal funding for any college or university that excuses or encourages antisemitism.
