Des Moines Fire Marshal Jonathan Lund says it’s important to measure the oil right, heat it right and place the fryer outside away from everything or you’ll be flirting with disaster instead of enjoying family time this Thanksgiving.
Also this year, according to the National Firefighter Association, roughly two-million turkey fryers have been recalled due to equipment malfunctions.
