(Des Moines) Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is talking with legislative and industry leaders about possibly decreasing the state’s income tax rates as the legislative session approaches.
In September, Reynolds announced a round of income tax cuts as Iowa ended the fiscal year with a one point eight three billion budget surplus.
On Monday, Reynolds told reporters she is ensuring tax reductions will be in place for a long time. Republican leaders and Reynolds signed a tax overhaul last year, setting individual income taxes to three-point-nine percent in 2026.
