(Atlantic) The Cass County Sheriff’s Office released more information on the two-vehicle accident in Southern Cass County late Monday morning on 640th Street and Highway 92.
According to the report, a wide-load semi traveling south on Highway 71 was preparing to turn east onto Highway 92. The lead pilot car went to the crest of the hill on Highway 92 east of Highway 71 to stop westbound traffic. The driver of the pilot car stopped a 2019 Chevy 2500 pickup. The westbound 2007 Chevy Town and Country driver did not see it and struck the rear of the stopped pickup.
The Sheriff’s Office says multiple occupants from both the pickup and Chevy were transported to Cass Health for treatment of minor injuries.
The accident blocked the roadway. No names were released.
