(Des Moines) Year by year, allergies are becoming worse. President of Iowa Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology P.C., Dr. Vuong Nayima, says there are many reasons why allergies are worse this year, such as warmer temperatures, a longer growing season, and more wind to move pollen around. She says to avoid using Sudafed and Afrin as they are not long-term beneficial to your body. Dr Nayima suggests taking medicines like Zyrtec, Allegra and safe nasal sprays.
According to Everyday Health, the following are the most common allergens causing symptoms during certain months of the year.
