Fremont County Sheriff’s Report

(Fremont Co) Two people were arrested on theft charges in Fremont County.

The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office says 29-year-old Brooke Marie Johnson, of Shelby, and 40-year-old Jonathan Patrick Antrim, of Council Bluffs, were arrested November 1^st for Theft 1^st Degree. The arrest stems from an investigation beginning in August when Antrim and Johnson were allegedly found in possession of power tools reported stolen in two construction vehicle burglaries in Omaha, as well as other tools believed to be stolen. The tools were valued over $11,000. Deputies also arrested Johnson for Operating a Vehicle without Owner’s Consent. Both were released after posting 10% of $2,000 bond after their initial appearance with the Fremont County Magistrate.

In other activity, Deputies were called to 155^th Street in Thurman on November 3^rd for a report of shots fired. Deputies allege 65-year-old Daniel Jay Kitchens, of Thurman, discharged a firearm in the air and then pointed it at a neighbor over a property dispute. Kitchens was arrested for Intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Going Armed with Intent, Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon, Disorderly Conduct, Obstructing a Street, Reckless use of a Firearm. Kitchens was held on $18,300.

Jennifer Rae Wake, 43, of Glenwood, was arrested November 1^st for two counts of Failure to Appear and Identity Theft. Wake was held on $11,000 bond.

In October, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office took 954 calls for service. The following is the arrest report for October….

• On 10/08/2023, deputies arrested Miesha Prince, age 29 of Omaha, Nebraska for Possession with Intent to Distribute, Marijuana, Possession of Drug paraphernalia.  She was released after posting bond.

• On 10/13/2023, deputies arrested Randall Eric Crawford, age 41 of Sidney, Iowa for, OWI 2^nd, Offense, two counts Child Endangerment, Assault on a Corrections Officer, Possession of Marijuana 1^stOffense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  He is being held on $2,000 cash bond.

• On 10/17/2023, deputies arrested Kara Marcine Lorimor age 49 of Sidney, Iowa for Public Intoxication and Disorderly Conduct.  She was released on time served.

• On 10/20/2023, deputies arrested Jamie Leah Flora age 37 of Sidney, Iowa for Domestic Abuse.  She was released on bond.

• On 10/20/2023, deputies arrested Jonathan Michael Lawler, age 34, of Bellevue, Nebraska for an out of state warrant.  Lawler was released to another agency.

• On 10/24/2023, deputies arrested Justin William Wake age 42 of Glenwood, Iowa for Failure to Appear.  He was later charged with Identity theft, in an unrelated case.  He is being held on $8,000 cash bond and posted $2,000 cash/surety bond on the Identity Theft case.  Deputies were assisted by the Mills County Sheriff’s Office.

• On 10/25/2023, deputies arrested Alex Joseph Tobin age 28 of Sidney, Iowa for Burglary 2^nd  He was released and the case was dismissed.

• On 10/27/2023, deputies arrested Ambriea Rose Chandler age 31 of Sidney, Iowa on an out of state warrant.  She was released on her own recognizance.

• On 10/27/2023, deputies arrested Stephen Dale Ferguson age 60 of Glenwood, Iowa for Domestic Abuse and OWI 2^nd  He is being held on $3,000 cash/surety bond.

• On 10/31/2023, deputies arrested Nicholas Todd Martinson age 32 of Omaha, Nebraska for an out of state warrant.  He was released to another agency.
