(Atlantic) Atlantic senior wrestler Taye Jordan signed to wrestle at Northwestern College. The senior 106-pounder says Coach Rick Dahl was among the first coaches to contact him. Coach Dahl invited Jordan for a visit, and Jordan said it felt like home.
Jordan earned a third-place finish at the Folks Style Nationals this past season for team Iowa and a four-time Fargo tournament qualifier. Taye Jordan’s wrestling started in the second grade.
Jordan has set high goals for this upcoming high school season.
Northwestern Head Coach Rick Dahl says Taye Jordan filled out a questionnaire for them and listed his weight class at 125, which is what got Coach Dahl’s attention.
Coach Dahl invited Taye to visit with many other recruits on campus that day, and Taye stood out.
Atlantic Head Coach Tim Duff is impressed with Taye’s work ethic over the years.
Coach Duff says Taye Jordan is a great leader who does anything the coaching staff asks him to do and always puts the team above himself. Duff said he does all the right things and lives a championship lifestyle.
Northwestern finished with the highest winning percentage among the 13 teams at the York Open, at the York Open over the weekend.
