(Des Moines) A man accused of a deadly crash on Fleur Drive starts his trial today. Forty-seven-year-old Keith Eric Jones was arrested last year in December for injuring multiple people and killing a four-year-old child after street racing his friend, Robert Miller. Jones is facing six charges for the incident. Miller was found guilty and sentenced to 30 years in prison in August.
According to witness reports, the two vehicles were racing in the northbound lanes of Fleur Drive before the crash. Miller’s car crossed the median, entered the southbound lanes, and struck two vehicles.
