(Des Moines, IA) Another family is joining the lawsuit against Snapchat after their loved one died from buying a fentanyl-laced pill on the app. Many families accuse Snapchat of having features that help people buy and sell drugs.
The latest lawsuit is one of five filed against Snap Inc. by the Social Media Victims Law Center (SMVC) on behalf of 65 families.
The lawsuit asserts that built-in features like disappearing messages and drug sales to minors on this platform resulted from the designs, structures, and policies Snapchat implemented to boost revenues.
The app is asking for the lawsuit to drop, claiming its platform is protected from illegal actions by its customers.
