(Des Moines, IA) Des Moines City officials are considering implementing a rule allowing Des Moines International Airport employees to give parking tickets. The ticket would be a 15-dollar fee. It is to help traffic move along outside the airport.
A new terminal currently being built will help with the traffic. But the facility won’t be done until 2026.
The original terminal was built in 1948. The new state-of-the-art terminal will have 18 gates, expanded security areas, enhanced gate operations, the latest baggage handling systems, and elevated dining and retail.
The cost of the project is $445 million.
