One Hurt in Union County Crash

(Creston) A Creston man suffered injuries when his vehicle struck a deer in Union County.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at 7:12 p.m. on Sunday on Green Valley Road, south of 140th Street. EMS Ground ambulance transported the driver, 67-year-old Bruce Dean Mensching of Creston, to the Greater Regional Hospital in Creston.

According to the report, Mensching was driving a northbound 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis and struck the deer. The collision disabled the car that was towed from the scene.
