(Adair Co) A Nevada woman was arrested on drug charges in Adair County.
The Iowa State Patrol stopped a Kia on Interstate 80 on October 10th for a speed violation. During the stop, the trooper became suspicious that criminal activity was taking place. The driver, 31-year-old Jasmine Danise Vance, of Pahrump, Nevada, was detained. A K9 was walked around the vehicle and alerted, giving an indication of narcotics in the vehicle. A probable cause search yielded a plastic bag inside a bag on the front passenger seat that contained a crystalline substance resembling methamphetamine. Vance was taken to the Adair County Jail and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $1,000 cash only.
In other activity, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Alex Jordan Kolthoff, of Lenox, on October 10th on warrants for Harassment 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief 4th. Bond was set at $1,000 cash or surety.
The Adair Police Department arrested 27-year-old Arty Iwo, of Ottumwa, on October 9th for Driving While License Denied or Revoked. Iwo was released on his own recognizance.
