K9 Rescues Elderly Man in a Cornfield

(Boone)  A ten-month-old K-9 helped rescue a man lost in a cornfield in Boone County.

Authorities say 86-year-old Marvin Manske went missing in a nearby cornfield on Monday night. The K-9, Djanga, sniffed a piece of Manske’s clothing and found the senior within 20 minutes. Officials say he was unharmed but confused.

Boone County Sheriff Andrew Godzicki says Djanga’s help shows the importance of its growing unit.
