(Audubon) The Audubon County Board of Supervisors will lease part of the Armory facility during the HVAC construction project.
The supervisors discussed with the City of Audubon about possible sharing space at the former Audubon State Bank facility recently purchased by the city. Chairman Doug Sorensen says that all changed after EMA Director Tyler Thygeson suggested the Armory. Sorensen says they received an offer from the Armory Officials and proceeded with a facility walk-through.
The County will pay $30.00 daily for the temporary lease, including utilities.
The total cost of the HVAC project is $2.2 million. The bids for the project are due on October 19. The goal is to award a contract on October 24. Doug Sorensen says the plan is to move the main floor and possibly one or two more upper-floor offices during construction.
