(Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors this morning discussed capital project priorities and a schedule to develop a capital improvement plan.
Supervisor Steve Green said they started five or six years ago setting aside monies because they knew they had big capital projects coming up and they didn’t necessarily want to bond and pay interest. He said the pandemic kind of set things aside a little bit because construction prices went through the roof. However, Green said they are getting enough money now that they need to get things earmarked.
The Board agreed to work with a goal of October 31st to November 7th to have a preliminary plan on paper with some estimates and prioritizing what they want to do.
In other activity, the Supervisors set October 24th as the public hearing on budget amendments for Fiscal Year 2023-2024.
