(Des Moines) Des Moines Police say a motorcyclist was killed when he crashed into a car on University Avenue. The incident happened yesterday. Officers say a 61-year-old male was heading eastbound near the I-235 exit ramp on his motorcycle when he rear-ended a vehicle while attempting to switch lanes. He was sent to the hospital, where he died. Law enforcement says this is now the 11th traffic death this year.
