(Atlantic) Officials announced today that it is anticipated that by April 2025, MAHLE plans to relocate a large majority of its bearing manufacturing lines in Atlantic, Iowa to other MAHLE Engine Components facilities. However, plating operations will remain in Atlantic. This step is in response to continuously intensified competitive pressure.
At present, MAHLE has 160 employees in Atlantic. MAHLE has begun the legal information sharing. It aims to minimize the impact on the employees affected by the closure and find solutions that are as socially responsible as possible.
