(Des Moines) The State of Iowa will end the current fiscal year with a surplus of one-point-83 billion dollars in the General Fund. Governor Kim Reynolds says there’s also 902 million in reserves and two-point-74 billion in the Taxpayer Relief Fund. Last week, Governor Reynolds said Iowa’s corporate tax rate will drop to seven-point-one percent from eight-point-four percent for Tax Year 2024 because corporate tax receipts exceed 700 million dollars.
