(Altoona, IA) – The Atlantic girl’s cross-country team finished in 9th place overall in the Southeast Polk Cross-Country Invite with a total of 257 points. Earning first place was Johnston with 62 points as they had first-place finisher Olivia Verde with an 18:41.5 and 11th-place finisher Grace Beasley with a 19:56.8 time in the race. Ankeny finished in 2nd with 77 points and second-place finisher Drew Beason with an 18:55.7 followed by 13th-place finisher Sophia Graber with a 20:15.5 time. Waukee was in third place overall with the third and fourth finishers Michelle McConkey and Sydney Burrier. McConkey finished with a 19:09.6 and Burrier finished with 19:39.0. Atlantic’s top runner was Claire Pellett with a 19:58.4 in the race at 9th place. The results of the race are listed below.
