(Audubon) The Audubon County Board of Supervisors are considering running payroll twice a month, instead of one pay period per month. The Board discussed the issue at Tuesday’s weekly meeting.
Audubon County Supervisor Chairman Doug Sorensen says a county employee requested the change.
Sorensen says the change is in the discussion stage. The Union Contract is up for renewal in July of 2025. Sorensen says if a change would be made, it would not be until then.
Sorensen says in the meantime, the supervisors will continue to look into how many extra hours it will take to move the payroll to twice a month. The board will also contact other counties to see what they are doing.
