(Guthrie Center) The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors passed a resolution on Tuesday in support of a Memorial Highway designation in honor of Lance Corporal Benjamin Carman.
Guthrie County Auditor Dani Fink says Lance Corporal Carman was a Greene County resident who lost his life while in the line of service in Iraq.
In other business, the supervisors approved a service contract with Schindler Elevator for an annual fee of $4,920.00. The board also approved the certificate of substantial completion from Van Maanen Electrical and Noah Detention for the Guthrie County Law Enforcement Center. It approved an agreement between the County and Elite Glass & Metal L.L.C. for windows at the new facility. Except for minor finishing touches, construction, and the facility are fully operational.
