(Adair) The Adair County Sheriff’s Office reports five arrests this past week.
*On August 11, Cristian Ortiz was arrested in Dallas County. Ortiz was arrested on March 23 on an outside warrant out of Texas and released four days later when it appeared Texas law enforcement officials did not want him. In the meantime, something changed, and the Governor of the State of Texas wants Ortiz returned to face crimes of assault of a Peace Officer or Judge, and is a fugitive from justice, and take refuge in Iowa. He is held on no bond. Ortiz has a court hearing on Friday to plead a case to stay in Iowa.
*On August 11, The Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Justin Alan Robertson of Greenfield on an outside warrant. He is being held on no bond on a Union County Warrant. He was turned directly over to the Union County Sheriff’s Department.
*On August 7, on an arrest warrant, Adair County deputies arrested 36-year-old Charles William Walker of Council Bluffs at the Pottawattamie County Jail. He was held on a $2,000 cash bond.
*On August 7, Adair County deputies arrested 28-year-old Serik William Baldwin of West Des Moines for 1st-degree theft (stolen vehicle). He is held on a $10,000 cash bond.
*On August 6, the Stuart Police Department arrested 43-year-old David Yepez from Denver, Colorado, for domestic assault causing bodily injury. Yepez was held on a $1,000 cash bond.
