(Avoca, IA) – Cross Country is keyed up for another season, and the Vikings are anticipating a successful run for the year. AHSTW head coach Jackson Renberg is the reason for that anticipation as he is already planning what his team will do for workouts this season. Throughout the summer, the Vikings were preparing for their upcoming practices starting next week.
Cross Country takes athletes of every running style. Some athletes are slower-paced, while others are leading the pack. A difference of runners is also important in team comradery as points matter for each team and that element of teamwork is important to every runner on the course. What the Vikings are focusing on this season is working together, something that coach Renberg has been teaching his athletes all summer long.
Coach Renberg has a great group of athletes on his hands. They are a group that works together, runs together, and achieves goals together. When you have a group of athletes that work as his do, you know that you are set up for success.
The Vikings’ first meet will be on August 22nd at Shenandoah with a start time at 5:00 pm.
