(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council is holding a public hearing tonight on discontinuing the Parks and Recreation Board.
During the discussion regarding the division of essential duties of the Parks Director to the new Parks Coordinator, the necessity of the Parks Board was addressed as it is a duty of the eliminated Parks Director to work with the Board. Once the public hearing is completed, the Council must wait 30-days before acting on the first reading to repeal Chapter 24 of the Code and discontinue the Park Board.
