(Atlantic) The Cass County 4-H & FFA Fair continues today in Atlantic. The day kicks off with Swine Weigh-in between 7:30-9:30 am and Rabbit Check-in from 8:00-9:30 am. Poultry Check-in is from 10:00-11:00 am, Meat Goat/Dairy Weigh-in 10:30-12:00 pm, and Horse Check-in 2:00-3:00 pm. At 2:00 pm, the Horse Show-Timed events will take place, with Sheep Weigh in to follow from 3:30-4:30 pm. At 5:00pm the 4-H/FFA exhibit opens, along with the food sale, and at 7:00 pm the Little Miss & Little Mister Contest will occur. The Night ends with the King & Queen contest at 7:30 pm and senior recognition at 8:00 pm.
On Friday, July 28th the day starts with the Beef Weigh-in from 8:00-10:00 am. The Rabbit Show will begin at 8:00 am, with the Horse show to follow at 9:00 am. The 4-H/FFA Exhibit opens at 10:00 am and closes at 8:00 pm. The Dog show will happen at 11:00 am and the Clover Kids Animal Show at 3:30 pm. At 5:30 pm, the Friday Evening Building Showcase begins and at 6:30 pm, the Mutton Busting takes place. The Night ends with the bull ride at 8:00 pm.
The day begins on Saturday, July 29th with the Sheep Show at 8:00 am. The 4-H/FFA Exhibits are open 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. At 10:00 am, the Pet show will occur, with the Meat Goat/Dairy Goat Show to come after at 11:00 am. Between 12:00-4:00 pm, Family Fun Day kicks off along with Communication Events at noon. Livestock Judging begins at 3:00 pm, with Youth Water Fights at 4:00 pm and Tractor Pull at 6:00 pm.
Sunday, July 30th starts with the swine show at 7:30 am, the tractor ride at 8:30 am, and the poultry show at 10:00 am. The 4-H/FFA Exhibits open at 10:00 am and will close at 8:00 pm. The Decorator’s Showcase is open from 12:00-4:00 pm and Tractor Display from 12:00-3:00 pm. The Pig Pals Show kicks off at 1:00 pm, with the Pedal Tractor Pull to follow at 2:30. The Feeder Calf weigh-in takes place from 3:00-3:30 pm, and the County Fair Church service will begin at 4:30 pm. The Cow/Calf & Feeder Calf Show starts at 5:30 pm, Horse Fun Show at 6:30 pm, and Golf Cart Races at 7:00 pm.
Monday, July 31st kicks off with the beef show at 8:00 am. One hour after the conclusion of the morning beef show will be the Beef Fitting Contest. The 4-H/FFA Exhibit opens up at 8:00 am and closes at 8:00 pm. The Best of Iowa takes place at 9:00 am, The Rotary Watermelon Feed at 11:00 am, and the Dairy Cattle Show at 2:00 pm. The Building Awards begin at 4:00 pm and the Parade of Champions, along with the Bucket of Junk/Fundraising Auction, follow at 5:45 pm. The night ends with Grand Champion Beef Selection at 6:30 pm, Livestock Released at 7:45 pm, and Static Exhibits released from 8:00-9:00 pm.
On Tuesday, August 1st, the Livestock Sale takes place at 8:00 am along with Static Exhibits released from 8:00-10:00 am.
Commercial Booths are open at the Cass County Fair on Thursday 5:00 pm-9:00 pm, and Friday-Sunday Noon-10:00 pm. The Mechanical Bull is open Friday Afternoon and all day Saturday. The Archery Open Shoot Fundraiser takes place Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
