(Indianapolis, IN) – Iowa Hawkeye’s head coach, Kirk Ferentz, believes that many of his athletes that are in the current NCAA gambling investigation are not involved. While speaking at the Big Ten Media Day, Ferentz said that nobody condones gambling and he doesn’t know what the current NCAA investigation outcome will be.
Coach Ferentz believes that there are not a lot of Hawkeyes that have been named in the investigation and he had never personally seen anyone on his team gamble. Iowa University has seen around 26 student-athletes flagged in the gambling investigation as Iowa State University has seen around 15 flagged by the NCAA.
