(Union Co) One person was killed and five people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Union County Friday evening.
The Iowa State Patrol says a 2016 Ford F350 was traveling eastbound on Highway 34, approaching 190th Street, when a 2017 Chevy car failed to stop at the sop sign and entered Highway 34 where it was struck in the driver’s side by the truck. Both vehicles went into the north ditch.
One passenger of the Chevy was pronounced deceased on scene. Three people were transported to hospitals in Des Moines and two others were treated and released. No names have been released at this time.
