(Red Oak) A two vehicle non-injury accident took place in Red Oak on Thursday. Red Oak Police responded to the call around 1:11 pm at Highland and Forest Ave. After further investigation, police found that 78-year-old Carolyn Marsden of Red Oak was southbound on Highland driving a 2018 Buick Enclave. The Buick turned east onto Forest Ave directly into a westbound 2023 Chevy Equinox driven by 51-year-old Angela Sheely of Ames. The Buick Driver, Marsden, failed to yield half the roadway to the Chevy driver, Sheely, when it struck head on. Sheely made no improper actions. There was approximately $1500 in damage to the front end of both vehicles, and there are no reported injuries at this time.
