(Avoca) The Pottawattamie County Fair today begins with open class entries drop off between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The 4-H/FFA poultry show takes place at 9:00 a.m. with the 4-H/FFA livestock judging contest to follow at 10:00 a.m. Open class judging is at 4:00 p.m. and a vendor food truck night will take place from 5:00-8:00 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. the pre-fair awards and queen coronation will take place, and free DJ/karaoke event will be held at the grandstand area at 7:00 p.m.
