(Ankeny) Presidential candidate Ron DeSantis is backing Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds over recent comments by former President Donald Trump about her. At a rally for Iowa Congressman Zach Nunn this past weekend, DeSantis called Reynolds one of the top public servants in the country and said he would absolutely consider her for a running mate should he secure the Republican nomination. The Florida governor said any Republican that is trying to slander Reynolds is “way off base.” Trump took aim at Reynolds recently, complaining about her alleged lack of neutrality in the GOP race. Trump is headed to Iowa tomorrow for a town-hall event hosted by Sean Hannity.
