(Ames, IA) – Iowa State announced today that JT Rock has reclassified from the 2024 recruitment class to the 2023 recruitment class. This recruitment class was ranked among one of the best in college basketball as it was ranked #11 by ESPN. Rock stands at 7’1 and was South Dakota AA Player of the Year. During his high school season in South Dakota, he averaged 18 points with 10 rebounds and had 4.5 blocked shots per game. He is ranked #68 overall coming into the college and is a four-star recruit. Rock will join Omaha Biliew, Kayden Fish, Jelani Hamilton, and Milian Morncilovic in the 2023 Iowa State recruiting class.
Coach T.J. Otzelberger talked about Rock saying, “He’s a high-character young man that prides himself on doing the right thing. The offensive skill set that he possesses is truly unique for someone north of seven feet tall. He will be someone Cyclone fans love watching for years to come.”
