(Audubon) The Audubon City Council met on Monday, and one of the items on the agenda was to set a public hearing for July 24 for financing the former Audubon State Bank Building.
Audubon City Clerk Joe Foran says the city is purchasing the former Audubon State Main Bank for $150,000. Foran says the city must secure the financing and accept the purchase agreement.
The City Council also approved the bid from Toyne for a new fire truck for $428,000. The city received two bids; the other offer was $525,000.
In other business, the City Council approved hiring Tad Wonio as City Attorney. Kathy Karstens, Gary Keller, Library Board, and Jennifer Keller were appointed to the Planning Zoning Commission.
The City Council also approved a six-percent wage increase for Department Heads and Non-Union employees.
